Meet the Author
Patti Pierucci
As long as I can remember, I’ve enjoyed writing ... and I’ve been doing it my entire life. I started in high school when I entered a short story competition. I won, based on a goofy idea that my father suggested, a man with a “supernumerary digit”— an extra toe. I built an entire story around that one word, and it worked. Later, in college, I wrote for my college newspaper. I had my own regular column, “As the Dorm Turns,” the worst column the paper ever published, but hey, I was just getting started! While in college I also worked as a “stringer” for the local community newspaper, covering meetings and writing feature stories. That’s when I learned my newspaper skills.
After graduation I began working for various newspapers as a writer, eventually working my way up to managing editor of two publications in a New Jersey-based chain.
I am the co-author of Twilight in America, a non-fiction book published in 2012, documenting the existence and danger of Islamic terrorist training camps located throughout the United States. The book was featured on a segment of “Fox & Friends” and became an instant Amazon best-seller. I also was the owner/publisher of my own Christian
newspaper in Lynchburg, VA, The Light of Lynchburg.
In addition ghostwriting for Jerry Falwell, Sr., members of Congress and others, as well as writing for Liberty University and numerous other ministries, I have also worked as a Realtor, home stager and home flipper in the Lynchburg region.
I’m an avid classic movie fan, and was honored a few years ago to be invited to act as a guest programmer on the Turner Classic Movies network, where I geeked out with the amazing Ben Mankiewicz, who interviewed me about classic film (photo above).
I live in Virginia with my husband Leonard, and have a son, Patrick, and three step-children. My husband and I thoroughly enjoy Virginia suburban life with our two dogs, Gracie and Lola.
